MPs rally support to tackle perennial flooding Metropolitan, Municipal, District Assemblies and other regulatory bodies have been reminded to work together for the implementation of laws and regulations relating to sanitation and construction of structures to prevent perennial flooding across the country. They must also engage in behavioral change education to get citizens to obey laws and voluntarily help in preventing floods and protecting the environment. These came up Tuesday when the MP for Klottey-Korle, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings made a statement on the Floor of Parliament on the perennial flooding and its resultant effects on lives and property. The Member for Adentan, Yaw Buaben Asamoa emphasized the need to enforce land use policies. The MP for Krachi West, Hellen Adjoa Ntoso spoke about encroachment on waterways and green belts.
