President Mugabe Lauds President Akufo-Addo The President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe has described Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the new Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana. President Mugabe, said he was impressed and highly inspired by the “deep” speech delivered by Nana Akufo-Addo at the Ghana@60 anniversary which was held at the Independence Square Monday. Addressing the media before his departure, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the Tang Palace in Accra, he said he learnt a lot from Ghana and Kwame Nkrumah during the revolutionary days. He also called for a deepened economic partnership between Ghana and Zimbabwe. President Mugabe said he was in Ghana a year after independence in 1958 and for him what Akufo-Addo did on Monday should go a long way by affirming to Ghanaians that they have found a right leader who would champion the vision of Ghana and the vision of pan-Africanism.
