Ignore politics of deceit by the opposition NPP- Clement Apaak

The NDC Parliamentary candidate for Builsa South, Dr Clement Apaak says electorates are discerning and will not mistakenly entrust the governance of the country into the hands of the NPP, a party that is divided and in total disarray.  

He said the level of falsehood and disunity in the NPP speaks volume of that fact that the party has lost focus and is not ready to rule the country. 

Addressing enthusiastic party supporters at Fumbisi to officially launch his campaign, Dr Apaak admonished Ghanaians not to believe in the promises and deceit of the NPP because the party is only desperate for power but has nothing to offer the country. 

Radio Ghana's, Isaac Asare was at the launch and reports that, since 1992, the Builsa South Constituency has been one of the strongholds of the ruling NDC in the Upper East Region. 

In 2008, Mr. Alhassan Azong of the PNC pulled a surprise by claiming the seat to become the MP for the area, a position he has held till date.   

Though some political analysts’ believe his candidature is enjoying some background support from the NDC, his participation in this year’s election tend to dispute such assertions as he comes face to face with Dr, Clement Apaak, a Presidential Staffer and a convener for the Forum for Governance and Justice. 

At a campaign launch to officially outdoor the candidature of Dr. Apaak, a former Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, Caesar Kale described Dr Apaak said it was not for nothing that the party chose Dr. Apaak as preferred candidate to wrestle power from the incumbent. 

He described Dr Apaak as a “gem changer” whose exploits and influences depict what he is capable of doing when given the nod. 

Whilst, urging the people to give Dr Apaak a resounding victory come December 7, Mr. Kale also advised the electorates not to vote for the NPP, saying that the party is only obsessed with power and therefore cannot be trusted. 

He said the Presidency of Nana Akufo Addo shall be full of vindictiveness.

Addressing the crowd, Dr Clement Apaak said there was nothing like stiff competition between him and Mr Azong as purported in section of the media. 

According to him, the seat was only loaned to the incumbent, therefore, the time has come for the NDC to reclaim the seat for good. 

Dr Apaak argued that the proven track record of President Mahama and the NDC administration in Northern Ghana cannot be contested. 

Therefore a vote for him and the President will mean more developmental projects. 

Dr. Apaak moreover, acknowledged the unifying force in the party and warned electorates against what he called “politics of deceit” being peddled by the NPP.  

Various speakers took turns to address the gathering. 

They repeated calls for Ghanaians to honour President John Dramani Mahama another four year term to enable him accomplish his development agenda of changing lives and transforming Ghana. 

Among them was the former MP for the Area, Norbert Awulley. 

Mr. Awulley further charged the leadership of the party to go out and educate the people on voting procedures to avoid spoilt ballots.  

The campaign launch saw Ministers of State among other National Officials of the party in attendance. 

Also present were Municipal and District Chief Executives including the Builsa South DCE, Madam Elizabeth Jane Afuic and the DCE for Bongo, Alexis Ayamdor.
