EC Boss To Brief Parliament On Commission's Preparedness For December Polls The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Mrs Charlotte Osei will this week brief members of parliament on preparations towards the December 7 general elections. Members moved for the meeting with the EC boss on the floor during a presentation of the business statement for the week. The MPs say the briefing will enable them to ask the EC chair critical questions on the conduct of the elections. The briefing will also give Parliament the opportunity to know if there is anything it can do to assist the EC in ensuring a peaceful, free, and fair election. The Majority Leader Alban Bagbin said a number of committee meetings have been tabled for the week and the meeting with the EC is one of them. The House will also consider separate agreements between the government of Ghana and the governments of China,Seychelles, Sudan, Cuba and Turkey on the Visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, official and service passports.
