GCB Bullion Van Attack: One of the robbers complains of being starved

One of the three accused persons in the robbery attack on a Ghana Commercial Bank bullion van at Donkorkrom in the Eastern Region has complained of being starved in police custody.
 
The accused, Hafisu Mohammed told an Accra District Court that since he went into remand, he is made to fast because no one provides him with food. 
 
He said he has no family members in Accra to visit him and also bring him food.

The situation is however different for Corporal Daniel Kissi Abrokwah who claims that he has a sister who provides him with food. 

Corporal Kissi Abrokwah is one of the two police officers involved in the robbery.
  
The other accused policeman, Corporal Solomon Elvis Mensah is said to be on admission at the hospital.

Hafisu also claimed that the police have seized his personal possessions.

This was confirmed by the investigator who also explained that the said items were handed over to another officer who is currently undergoing ten month training outside the country.
 
The two accused policemen, armed with AK47 rifles, allegedly attacked the bullion van and shot dead its driver.

Another policeman on board the vehicle also sustained injury.
 
The van usually supplied money to the Ghana Commerciial Bank at Donkorkrom. 

They have been charged with conspiracy, attempted robbery and murder.
 
The case has been adjourned to the 31st of this month.
