HIV/ AIDS drug still undergoing clinical tests-COA The Centre of Awareness, COA has reiterated that the drug it discovered to have a potential cure for HIV and AIDS is currently still undergoing the required clinical trials. A statement signed by the Executive President of the Centre, Dr. Ato Duncan said the intramuscular and intravenous injectable product known as COA-72 is however, different from the food supplement COA-FS already approved by the Food and Drugs Authority, FDA. Dr. Duncan however, explained that COA-72 has already been piloted in South Africa, where it proved to have the ability to expose viruses living in infected cells in the blood stream and can be flushed out intravenously. COA says it however, requires more support to continue further clinical trials on the new drug. GBC
