"Pakorpa Susangho" a movie premiere in the Upper East Region Ghana is today hosting the worldwide premiere of a movie "Pakorpa Susangho", which means "Widow's Cry" The movie screening which takes place in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, presents a powerful exploration of how corruption impacts on widows in the Upper East Region. The project that led to the movie is part of the "Land and Corruption in Africa", program coordinated by Transparency International and implemented by several chapters including Ghana. The overall goal of the Land and Corruption in Africa program is to contribute to improved livelihoods of men and women adversely affected by corrupt practices of land administration. The premiere of 'Pakorpa Susangho," will be graced by key government officials, chiefs, community leaders, and civil society. GBC
