Police Service, parties collaborate to check possession of illegal weapons

The Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur says the service is collaborating with the political parties to ensure that the possession of illegal weapons by the youth is discouraged.

He stated that this has become important since such youth could be used for violent activities as the electioneering intensifies.

He highlighted measures being put in place to check the number of civilians with illegal weapons.
