African Union still relevant despite struggles – Panelists

Panelist on our Current Affairs Programme, ‘Focus’ have all agreed  that despite it challenges, the African Union is still relevant to the socio-political and economic development of the continent.

A staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Eric Boateng, said a lot has been done since the transformation of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) into the African Union (AU). 

An International Relations Expert, Irbad Ibrahim, said the AU is on a sound footing and there is the need for all to be optimistic.
