Speaker Regrets Failure Of Legislature To Protect National Kitty The Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho, says Parliament has failed Ghanaians in ensuring the public purse is protected. He said as an oversight body, the House’s Committee must be up and doing to make sure money it approves are judiciously spent. The Speaker expressed his disappointment when the Public Accounts Committee, PAC, presented its report on the construction of the Achimota-Ofankor Road Project. The project which begun in 2006 at an estimated cost of 40.4 million Ghana Cedis increased to 128 million Ghana Cedis as at the time the PAC met on the matter. GBC
