Labour Agitation Grounds Proceedings At Court

Proceedings at the various Courts in Accra have been suspended due to the nationwide strike by staff of the Judicial Service. 

Radio Ghana's visit to the new Court Complex and the Supreme Court premises in Accra showed that the courts were deserted. 

With the exception of a few security officers at post, all other staff of JUSAG did not report for work. 

Some of the security officers interviewed at about 11am told Radio Ghana that they were also getting ready to go home. 

The court rooms were locked to prevent litigants and lawyers from accessing the place.
