Persons with Albinism cry against inhuman treatment The Ghana Association of Persons with Albinism has called on Government to look into cases of inhuman treatment meted out to persons with albinism. Violence such as torture, discrimination and killing or murdering of albinos occur in some parts of the country, especially the Brong-Ahafo and Eastern regions. In most cases, people with this kind of genetic condition are considered as bad omen in some communities. An Advocacy Officer with the Association, Adam Abdul Wahab, made the call at a media briefing to launch this year's International Albinism Day slated for the 13th of June. GBC
