US Embassy funds $11,000 oil palm extraction project An eleven thousand dollar oil palm extraction project funded by the US Embassy has been inaugurated at Asekesu in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern Region. The Project, an initiative of 4H-Ghana, an NGO and the Ministry of Gender is to help improve the livelihood of women in the area and alleviate poverty. The Economic Counselor at the US Embassy, Jimmy Mauldin, who inaugurated it, announced that more than 80 thousand dollars has been awarded to eleven organizations and communities in Ghana this year.
