Guinea-Bissau President sacks government Guinea-Bissau's President, Jose Mario Vaz, has sacked his entire cabinet demanding that the ruling party constitutes a new one to lead the country out of its political crisis. Ministries have been placed under the control of security forces, while the ruling African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde is meeting to decide how to respond. In a message to the nation carried on national radio and television, President Vaz said the ball is in the court of the ruling African Party. He said he has taken a decision which makes the political parties aware of their responsibilities.
