The Daily Graphic calls on IEA to include all the political parties in its Presidential debate. It is the view of the paper that equal opportunity must be given to all the candidates to market themselves to the electorates. The Graphic says this will also help in the process of deepening and consolidating multi-party democracy. The Graphic calls for cool heads among the political parties so that they can offer their support the IEA programme whiles trusting the institute to quicken the pace of consultation and discussions with the political parties with the view to factoring their concerns into the action plan. 

The Ghanaian Times believes the PSC Tema shipyard Limited needs radical transformation by well resourcing it so it can begin to build boats and modernised canoes for the fishing community. It says it is quite sad that a company which can be considered a national asset should be experiencing financial crises. The Times says whiles the workers are attributing the company's woes to maladministration and corruption on the part of current management, it is the culmination of the neglect by successive governments. The paper says the company is a valuable asset which should not be allowed to go waste. 

The Heritage is happy about the imprisonment of an 80-year-old man who defiled a fifteen year old girl at Peki Dzake in the Volta Region. It says this should serve as a strong warning to others who might consider abusing children sexually. According to the paper, although rape and defilement are criminal acts, families of victims in most cases opt for out of court settlement and take paltry compensation to kill the case and for fear of soiling the family's image.
