The Board Chairman of the Hospital, Dr.Abdallah Tinorgah in an interview with Radio Ghana in Tamale disclosed that, the restructuring process is in response to numerous complaints received from members of the public about poor healthcare delivery at the hospital. He said despite the hospitals precarious financial position, some staff continue to embezzle funds, steal drugs, gloves and other essential items. Dr.Tinorgah said the Board has decided to decentralise the departments at the hospital to improve efficiency, strengthen monitoring and evaluation. He added that the hospital will be announcing new directors for these departments in the next few days and appealed to the public to support the actions of the board.
