President Mahama hosts Trinidad and Tobago PM to a State luncheon

President Mahama Monday hosted the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr Keith Christopher Rowley to a State luncheon at Flagstaff house. 

Here President Mahama announced that a technical team from Trinidad and Tobago has resumed negotiations with the Ministry of Petroleum to reactivate proposed investment in Ghana's Gas Sector. 

Also there is collaboration between Ghanaian institutions and Trinidad to train Ghanaian energy experts. 

Prime Minister Rowley described his visit as one with a promise, as it is pregnant with projects of mutual benefits to both countries. 

He said Ghana has a promising Agriculture sector and Trinidad hopes to export its fertiliser to Ghana to compliment the sector. 

Trinidad has been in this business for almost half a century and is currently the world largest producer of ammonia fertiliser.
