NPP Chairman Antwi Boasiako arrested for allegedly assaulting MP for Manhyia North

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested and detained the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Antwi Boasiako for allegedly assaulting the MP for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwa. 

The Chairman was invited by the Police two days ago but failed to report himself and rather went to the Police Tuesday and was detained subsequently. 

Hundreds of NPP supporters including MPs from opposition parties were at the Central Police Station demanding the release or bail for the Chairman which resulted in huge military and police presence at the premises of the Central Police Station to help maintain law and order.
