The Daily Graphic says if people are to agree that elections are not do or die affairs as has been re-echoed by concerned citizens, as well as the National Peace Council and clergy, then it should be easy to decide to pull away party agents from polling centers before November 7, 2016 comes. The paper is of the view that it is rather important to strengthen the EC, as well as teachers who are contracted to assist with the process by way of training to look out for anomalies and unqualified people during elections. The Graphic says security must be beefed up at all centers in terms of personnel, as well as training personnel to detect people who only get to the polling stations with the intent to cheat or cause confusion. 

The Ghanaian Times finds interesting and worrying the statement by a former President of Namibia Lucas Pohamba challenging African leaders to step up efforts to stem corruption in their countries saying the desire to accelerate development will be a mirage if they fail to address the increasing level of corruption. It says this goes to substantiate the numerous levels of allegations against the continent when it comes to corruption. The Times believes if the former Namibian president and others had acknowledged the menace and done something about it during their tenure of office, the weight of corruption would have been reduced by now.
