National Council of Persons with Disability calls for disability mainstreaming into local government development agenda

The National Council of Persons with Disability has called for disability main streaming to be factored into Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, MMDAs development agendas.  

This will help integrate disability concerns into policy planning among other programmes at the local government level.

Speaking at a consultative meeting in Accra, the Acting Executive Secretary of the National Council on Persons with Disability, Kwamena Dadzie-Dennis said Ghana needs to demonstrate deep commitment to the promotion of the Disability Act 715.
