MP donates pharmaceutical products to Navrongo Central Prisons The MP for Navrongo Central Constituency, Mark Owen Woyongo, has donated some assorted pharmaceutical products, toiletries and detergents to the Navrongo Central Prisons in Navrongo in the Kassena Nankana municipality of the Upper East region. The donation follows complaints from the authorities of the prison that the infirmary of the prison had run out of basic medicinal products and it was affecting the provision of quality health care to the inmates. The items, worth 3,000 Ghana cedis was aimed at stocking the infirmary for effective healthcare delivery. Mr. Woyongo, used the occasion to admonish inmates to learn a trade including carpentry, masonry, building and mental works available to them in the prison in order to acquire some skills to better their lives when they are released. He exhorted the general public especially individuals, groups and organisations to emulate the same gesture. Mr. Woyongo, also called on the general public particularly those who have turned 18 years and above and those who for one reason or the other could not register in 2012 to come out in their numbers to get registered in the on-going limited voter’s registration exercise. The MP was hopeful of a victory come November 07 and said his contribution to development in his constituency speaks volume of his victory. GBC
