THE GHANAIAN TIMES: urges government to engage with the unemployed nurses, and also expedite action on the processes to regularise their employment.  The paper says it is unfortunate that things should turn out this way, as the nurses had for sometime been agitating for their employment and subsequent posting.  According to the Times, authorities in charge should be proactive in engaging the nurses in discussions for them to understand why they were not immediately employed.  The paper says the agitation is happening at a time when many of the country's hospitals and health centres are in dire need of the service of nurses.

THE DAILY HERITAGE: urges the BNI to launch an investigation into the operations of the ECG in respect to the  pre- paid meter system.The paper says it is unfortunate that the pre- paid meters which were introduced to improve the ECG's debt recovery programme and efficiency is now used by the ECG to cheat consumers. It says the practice has become a norm because of the difficulty in measuring the consumption of electricity by consumers. Though The Daily Heritage recognises some genuine challenges facing the ECG, it thinks the company is well equipped and should be able to handle such issues.  It  calls on the BNI to clamp down heavily on ECG to ensure consumers pay for what they consume
