Passport acquisition now a challenge in Ghana For decades, the acquisition of passport has become a serious challenge due to the number of people who throng the Passport Office daily to process one. While some acquire it to travel outside the country, others use it as one of the national identification documents especially to register as a voter. This is because it is only the passport, driving license and NIA cards can be accepted during voter registration exercise. Now, passport forms are no more purchased at Post Offices but through the banks. The express forms cost 100 Ghana cedis while the ordinary forms go for 50 Ghana cedis. GBC
