Ghana Immigration Service launches five-year strategic plan The Ghana Immigration Service, GIS, has launched a five-year strategic plan to comprehensively manage migration issues in Ghana. The plan would critically focus on combating irregular migration and ensure national security. Speaking at the opening of a four-day workshop in Accra to commence the process and develop the plan for 2016 -2020, Deputy Director of the GIS, Felix Yaw Sarpong, said the strategic plan is a systematic process of envisioning a desired future and translate this vision into broadly defined goals.
