Wey Gey Hey: Board Chairman denies alleged occult practice 

The Board Chairman of Wesley Girls Senior High School, Reverend Titus Awotwi Pratt has expressed concern about what he claims are false media reports on twenty two girls alleged to be students of the school, nabbed by the school authorities for being members of an occult group.

Rev. Awotwi Pratt also expressed shock about the conflicting and inconsistent nature of the report which only exposes the source of the story to public ridicule and undermines the ethics of the journalism profession.

A statement from the Board Chair condemned the dispatch within which some media houses gave screaming headlines to the story, without cross checking with the school on the veracity or otherwise of the story. 

It says not only are the reports mischievous, but also an attempt to tarnish the image of the school over an incident that has never occurred in the school. 

It describes as ridiculous, a statement allegedly attributed to a so-called student of the school, in which the said student alludes to the widespread nature of the practice, as a wild attempt to denigrate the image of a school that upholds the virtues of religion and rejects in the strongest possible terms occultism and other forms of worship that do not posit the Almighty God as the pivot of reference.
