Government increases school feeding grant per child

The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye-Lithur says government has in fulfillment of its promise to sustain the School Feeding Programme, (GSFP) increased the feeding grant per child from 50 to 80 pesewas effective last quarter of the academic year.  

She said the policy is to increase enrolment, attendance and retention of beneficiaries in school. 

Madam Oye-Lithur made this known at an engagement with District and Coordinating Education Director of the GSFP in Accra.
