Prophecy by T.B. Joshua of imminent terrorist attack on Ghana and Nigeria draws mixed reactions

The prophecy by Nigeria's Prophet T.B. Joshua that terrorist attacks are imminent in Ghana and Nigeria has drawn varied reactions. 

The General Secretary of the Assemblies of God- Ghana, Dr John Ghartey says prophecy in itself comes to serve a good purpose, but it has to be analyzed before being acted upon.  

Speaking on our Current affairs programme “Behind the News”, Dr Ghartey said controversies sometimes arise because of the characters or vessels through which they came. 

He asked Ghanaians to remain calm as the security agencies perform their duties. They should also support by praying to avert any possible attacks.

The Director of Academic Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Dr Vladimir Antwi Danso, noted that prophecy or no prophecy, everybody should be alert, because terrorism manifests in different forms. 

He said even though there is a prophecy making the rounds, recent happenings in the Sub-region should be a wakeup call for Ghana to be vigilant.

The Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur said the Police are not resting on their oars in averting any terrorist attacks. 

He urged Ghanaians to be calm, saying the Police and other security agencies are collaborating in the fight against the threat. 

Superintendent Cephas Arthur asked the public to volunteer information to 18555 on MTN and Vodafone and 191 on all networks. 

GBC
