Poultry Farmers welcome ban on importation of day old chicks

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has banned the importation of day old chicks from neighbouring countries to prevent further spread of Bird Flu in Ghana.  

The National Chairman of the Ghana Poultry Farmers Association, Victor Oppong Adjei welcomed the ban saying it is a laudable measure.

Lewis Pendragon who is a poultry farmer also said the ban will protect Ghana's Poultry industry.
