ANC rallies to save Zuma from impeachment 

South Africa’s scandal-ridden President Jacob Zuma has survived an impeachment vote.

The process was launched after the country’s constitutional court ruled that he had ignored an order to repay state funds spent on the refurbishment of his private home.

Zuma’s ANC rallied round the leader to win the vote 243 to 143.
