President Mahama to launch conversion of polytechnics into Technical universities

President John  Mahama has begun an 'Accounting to the people' tour of the ten regions of Ghana beginning from the Western Region.

Whilst in the Western Region,  President will launch the conversion of the 10 polytechnics into Technical Universities in Sekondi-Takoradi. 

Currently, six polytechnics-Accra, Kumasi,Takoradi, Ho, Koforidua, and Sunyani constitute the first batch after undergoing vigorous selection criteria.  

The Tamale and  Cape Coast Polytechnics which did not meet the criteria, have applied to the National Council for Tertiary Education, for reassessment.
