Jake Obetsebi Lamptey to be laid to rest on April 22 The former Chairman of the NPP, Jake OtankaObetsebi-Lamptey, will be laid to rest on Friday, the 22nd of this month. According to the Acting Lante Djan We Mantse, Nii Lante Otanka, the body of the late Chairman will be flown to Ghana from the United Kingdom, on Tuesday, April 12. Jake, as he was popularly known, died on Sunday, March 20, in London. Nii Lante Otanka together with members of the family of the late Chairman made this known during a courtesy call on the 2016 Presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akuffo Addo at his residence in Accra, to inform him of the final funeral arrangements. According to the program, the first part of the funeral will be a pre-burial service on April 21 at the Accra Ridge Church, from 6 to 10pm. The format will be the Celebration of his Life, and in accordance with the late Jake Obetsebi Lamptey's wishes. The second part will be a burial, funeral and thanksgiving service on April 22, at the forecourt of the State House, and again, in accordance with his wishes, the attire will be white.” The body of the late NPP Chairman will be laid to rest after a private funeral ceremony. Nana Akufo-Addo thanked the family of the late NPP Chairman for the visit and assured them of his and the party’s support during the final funeral rites for the late Chairman. GBC
