Dr. Nashiru Issahaku appointed new Governor of Bank of Ghana


President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Abdul-Nashiru Issahaku as Governor of the Central Bank. 

He replaces Dr. Henry Kofi Wampah who has proceeded on leave prior to retirement. 

This was contained in a statement issued by the Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane-Boamah. 

Dr. Issahaku, until his appointment, was a Deputy Governor of the Bank. 


His appointment took effect April 4 2016.
