NAB decries increasing number of honorary degrees

The Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board, Kwame Dartey, says the Board is appalled at the increasing number of honorary Doctorate and other degrees being awarded to people.  

Speaking to Radio Ghana, he said the media should desist from giving publicity to such awards.  

Mr Dartey warned students not to patronize unaccredited tertiary institutions.  

He also called for a legal backing for the Board to enable it to close down such institutions.
