MDCEs urged to provide good leadership

Municipal and District Chief Executives have been charged to provide good leadership to enable staff of the Assembly to deliver on their mandate.  

Municipal and District Coordinating Directors are also asked to develop a high performance culture for staff of the Assembly and serve as role models for them.  

The Eastern Regional Minister Mavis Ama Frimpong gave the advice at the signing ceremony of performance contract between Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCE’s) and Municipal and District Coordinating Directors (MDCD’s) at Koforidua.  

She said the Local Government Service was established to support government to deliver value for money service.  

Ms Frimpong said the essence of signing the performance contract is to ensure that, public institutions such as the Municipal and District Assemblies deliver on their mandate, improve performance and ensure effective service delivery.  

She said government on its part would ensure the provision of necessary resources to the assemblies for the rapid socio-economic development of the country.
