Kparekpare in Krachi district face acute water shortage Some communities continue to face acute water problems in the country. One of such communities suffering from the lack of potable water is Kparekpare in the Krachi East District. Radio Ghana gathered that some of the boreholes the community relies on have broken down causing inconvenience to the people. But in a twist, the D.C.E for Krachi East, Peter Awurenyere in an interview, said the situation is not that bad because some of the boreholes are now working. He blamed the situation on the long dry season and human activities such as tree felling for charcoal production. Mr. Awurenyere said urgent attention is being given to the situation.
