UNICEF donates computers to GBC

UNICEF has presented computers worth $25,000 to GBC. 

The customised computers specifically made for the Corporation comprise 10 editing and one graphics machines.  

The donation is in line with years of partnership between GBC and UNICEF. 

Presenting the equipment to management, the Country Director of UNICEF, Susan Ngongi said the Agency acknowledges the significant role of GBC in broadcasting programmes concerning the welfare of children. 

Receiving on behalf of the Corporation, the Acting DG, Mrs Francisca Ashietey Odunton said GBC will continue to fight the cause of children.  

She also noted that lack of equipment is hampering efforts of GBC to deliver as a state broadcaster adding that the equipment has come at the right time to enhance the efficiency of the Corporation.

GBC
