Need to disband vigilante groups re-echoed

The British High Commissioner, Jon Benjamin says the springing up of political party vigilante groups in the country is a threat to Ghana’s democracy he urged government and political parties to work together to  disband such groups and allow the security agencies to do their work. 

Mr. Benjamin stated this in a speech read on his behalf at the opening of an interfaith dialogue in Tamale. 

It was organized by the British High Commission in partnership with the National Peace Council, the Office of the National Chief Imam and the Christian community.
