Abuakwa North by-election slated for March 29

The Electoral Commission says it will hold by-election for Abuakwa-North in the Eastern Region on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.  

The seat became vacant following the death of the Member Of Parliament (MP), Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu.  

A statement issued by the Deputy Chairperson of the EC, Amadu Sulley said nominations for the election will take place on 1st and 2nd March at the District Office of the Commission at Tafo from 9:00am to 12:00noon and 2:00pm to 5:00pm. 

The nomination forms may be obtained from the District Office or the Regional Office of the Commission at Koforidua.  

The filing fee for the election is one thousand Ghana Cedis.
