Vice President Amissah Arthur lauds Mechanical Lloyd for its confidence in Ghana's economy 



Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has praised the Mechanical Lloyd Company for having confidence in the Ghanaian economy thereby extending its operations to other regions of the country.

Charging the officials of Mechanical Lloyd to use its vast experience in the automobile industry to organize training for local artisans who are involve in vehicle maintenance to be able to improve on the quality of service that they provide. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur made the statement on Tuesday night when he commissioned an ultramodern Branch of Mechanical Lloyd at Takoradi in the Western Region. 

The new facility also has vehicle showroom and maintenance centre that allows spare parts to be held at one place to be brought quickly for the use of servicing vehicles. 

He also called on the company to help in the training of the local artisan would help raise the economy and improves economic development which in the long-run would lead to the economic well being of the people. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur also stated the new facility should be one that supports the Ghanaian economy, provides local content and improves the quality of service its offers to the people who come there for servicing. 

He said the new facility should help consumers of vehicles to prolong the lifespan of their automobiles to enable them derive the needed benefits from it. 

Mr Amissah – Arthur also praised Mechanical Lloyd with its rich history in the automobile sector should be able to help consumers benefit from the modern technology its uses in the servicing of vehicles. 

Charging the management of the company to ensure that the quality of services provided by their outfit should help to extend the lifespan of the vehicles that is bought from the company. 

"Am happy to say that a company like Mechanical Lloyd is voting to support the Ghanaian economy and showing the rest of the country it is good to invest in the country" he added. 

He also charged the management of the company to ensure that Ghanaians to have real value from their services. 

The inauguration of the new branch brings the number of such facility owned by the company to five across the country. 

Two of such facilities are in Accra, one in Kumasi, one in Tamale and now Takoradi. 

The Mechanical Lloyd Company, which was established in Ghana in 1970 and listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) deals in Ford vehicles and BMWs. 

He said the new branch with its modern facilities should be able to develop the skills of local artisans within the twin city. 

Mr Charles Zwennes Sr, a senior advocate of the bar with 50's experience and Board Chairman of Mechanical Lloyd on his part stated that opening of the Takoradi branch is to provide consumers with the best of the company's products.
