Ghana, US sign agreement for security collaboration The government of Ghana and the United States of America have signed a security governance initiative agreement in Accra. The US initiated security agreement with six African countries which include Nigeria and Niger will last over three years. The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Madam Hannah Tetteh signed on behalf of Ghana and US Ambassador, Robert Porter Jackson initialed for his country. Madam Tetteh said the agreement will focus on three areas, cyber security, maritime and border surveillance and control. She added that, the country is expected to receive three million dollars as the first installment of security grant assistance to kick start the programme. GBC
