Yeji Pontoon Sinking: Vessel possibly overloaded 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Maritime Authority, Rev. Dr. Peter Issaka Azumah, has attributed over loading and poor maintenance as the cause of the vessel which was reported to have sank in the Volta Lake yesterday (February 17).  

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Rev. Azumah said the Authority has dispatched personal to assess the situation.
