Establish task-force to monitor distribution of fertilizer to farmers- Kofi Wayo

Farmers have been complaining about subsidized fertilizer either not reaching them or getting to them so late in the farming season. 

Some have also reported of smuggling of the fertilizer to neighbouring countries.

Radio Ghana's George Ankrah caught up with the Founder and Leader of the United Renaissance Party, Kofi Wayo, who reports that he saw truck loads of fertilizer being smuggled out of the country. 

He said some interest groups are also not happy that fertilizer is now being sent to farmers directly.

Mr. Wayo called for the establishment of a task force to monitor the distribution of these fertilizers.
