Seizure of arms cache in Kumasi, is an indictment on Ghana's security agencies- Security Analyst


An International Relations Expert and Security Analyst Ibrahim Irbrad says the quantum of weapons that the Police have impounded in recent times is a source of worry as the country prepares for elections next year.  

Speaking on Radio Ghana's Behind the News, Mr. Irbard said the arrest and seizure of the large quantity of weapons in Kumasi means some security personnel who were supposed to man the country's borders have been sleeping on the job.  

He said the discovery is a disappointment for the country's security agencies, and the discovery means there could be more of such illegal weapons arms being kept in other parts of the country.
