Chelsea sack Jose Mourinho

Nine months after leading Chelsea to the English Premier League title coach Jose Mourinho has been sacked by the London club.

It’s been a turbulent season for the self-proclaimed Special One.

He has had a major fallout with his medical staff, he has lost the support of his dressing room and a poor string of results on the domestic scene have left the Blues one point above the relegation zone in 16th.

A replacement has not been named but local media have touted Pep Guardiola, Guus Hiddink, Brendan Rodgers and Carlo Ancelotti as possible successors.
