Soil Scientists raise alarm over Ghana's soil 



Soil Scientists have raised the red flag saying Ghana's soils are in danger.

This is because waste and illegal mining activities are killing the nutrients in the country's soil resources. 

They contended that there will be a national crisis if immediate steps are not taken to restore soils in Ghana. 

At a national symposium in Accra to mark International year of soils, soil scientists expressed worry over the way  governments  neglect soil resources.

They said  governments and policy makers have forgotten  the crucial role that soils play in all aspects of life.
