Tensions rise as migrant path to western Europe is blocked 

Tension is building  among thousands of migrants heading north through the Balkan states as their route to Western Europe is stalled by new controls.

Croatia has asked its northern neighbour Slovenia to accept five thousand migrants daily, but it says it would only take half that number.

The move has led to a  massing  up of people on the Croatia's border with Serbia.
