President Mahama To Cut Sod For Construction To Begin On $298 Kejetia Lorry Terminal In Kumasi 


President John Dramani Mahama will this morning cut the for construction to begin on the 298 million dollar Kejetia Lorry Terminal and the redevelopment of the Central Market in Kumasi. 

Brazilian construction firm, Contrata Engenharia, has arrived in Kumasi to the three-phased project. 

The market in recent times has been engulfed in a number of debilitating fires, resulting in the loss of wares running into millions of cedis. 

For years, Kejetia has served as a hub for economic activities for people in and around Kumasi and beyond.

President Mahama will also grant a live interview to Ghana Broadcasting Corporation’s Kumasi FM, The Garden City Radio, which would be carried live on GBC’s sister stations across the nation.

From Kumasi President Mahama will round off his Changinglives and TransformingGhana tour in Goaso to cut the sod for the construction of cocoa roads. 

He will later continue to the Brong Ahafo Region to begin another regional tour.
