President Mahama takes Changinglives and TransformingGhana tour to Kumasi President John Dramani Mahama's Changinglives and TransformingGhana tour will arrive in Kumasi on Sunday October 18, 2015. He will break the ground for the redevelopment of the Kumasi Central Market and Kejetia Lorry Terminal in Kumasi at a cost of 298 million dollars tomorrow. Phase one of the project comprises construction of the terminal and the phase two and three will focus on the market. Brazilian construction firm, CONTRACTA Engenharia has arrived in Kumasi to execute the three-phased project. The market in recent time has been engulfed in number of debilatating fires, resulting in the loss of wares rpunning into millions of cedis thereby bringing untold hardships to traders. For years, the Kejetia market has served as a hub of economic activities for hundreds of thousands of people in and around Ashanti Region and beyond. In the afternoon today Sunday 18,2015, President Mahama will address Changinglives Party Forum in Kumasi, cut sod for cocoa roads in Goaso, and in the evening interact with the business community. GBC
