Accra-based radio presenter, Wofa Kwabena Kwakye is dead


A radio presenter with an Accra-based radio, Happy Fm, Wofa Kwabena Kwakye is dead.

Wofa as known in the media fraternity was said to be ill for some time now.

However, his colleagues at the station said he was at work last Thursday and reviewed the newspapers.

Kwabena Kwakye’s experience as radio presenter started from the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) where received a lot of training and rose through the ranks.

He moved to Top Radio a private radio station based in Accra and t Radio Hits. 
 
As a news presenter and producer, he made his mark at all these stations before joining Happy FM in 2004.

He has since been, at various times, news reader and presenter of the political program “Ye Pe Ahu”.

Wofa Kwabena Kwakye also hosted the news and also “Adadamu” a musical program, which showcased music for the senior members of the listening public.
