Fire guts Kumasi Central market

Owners of stores guttered by fire last night at the Kumasi Central Market were are grief stricken.

The fire affected nine stores destroying items such as wax prints,sewing machines and assorted sewing threads which run into thousands of Ghana cedis.

The Police is said to have cordoned off the area to prevent looting.
